This latest version is no exception to this formula of premium Italian lifestyle.
Jakarta, 1 September 2023 - PT Piaggio Indonesia introduces the latest update of its most authentically iconic sporty Vespa model, the Vespa GTV. The model is crafted exclusively for genuine sporty and lifestyle riders looking for brilliant performance and iconic classicism of Vespa. In 2023, the totally new look of Vespa GTV still stays true to its origins as a racing legend and is combined with ultra-modern technological features and unprecedented sporty finishes. The result is an extraordinary combination of heritage and modernity, classicism and audacity, melded together in the most authentically sporty Vespa ever.
Authentic Style with a Touch of Modern Sporty Element
Vespa GTV presents an authentic touch with a modern and sportier look. Available in the Beige Sabbia color scheme, this model offers an attractive combination of beige and contrasting orange graphics that run diagonally across the side panels. The general look of the Vespa GTV stands out from the matt black trim that is characterized in the following sections of the product: the low headlight and rear taillight assembly, the profile along the perimeter of the body, the passenger grab handle and footrests, the silencer cover, the rear-view mirrors, and the instrumentation frame. The sporty racing characteristic in the new Vespa GTV is even more emphasized by two-tone single-seater saddle. To even complete the total racing look of Vespa GTV, rear part of saddle can be accessorized with rigid cover in the same color of body color, resembling a typical racing Vespa cover.
Even though, Vespa GTV is the ambassador of the purest classicism in Vespa family, due to the use of “faro basso” (low headlight), positioned on the frond mudguard and the exposed metallic tube handlebar, the new Vespa GTV comes with modern touch in look and features. For instance, the new Vespa GTV adopts the same keyless system that was previously introduced in Vespa GTS family. It also has a new digital instrument and full LED on the characteristic low headlight.
On the exposed tubular handlebar sits the new circular digital instrumentation that can be upgraded to fully compatible with the Vespa MIA connectivity system (as accessories). The instrumentation is connected to the handlebar using an original offset bracket and it is surrounded by an aggressive looking top fairing with reduced dimensions and a clear racing inspiration. For bolder look, Vespa GTV top fairing is available in orange color as separate accessory.
At the center of the leg shield, the unmistakable “necktie” has sporty lateral slots and is enhanced by orange-edged decorations. The five-spoke wheel rim design is also new, painted matt black with orange graphics on the channel.
Hi-Tech Performance and Features
Vespa GTV embraces technology and the vocation to travelling typical of the extremely recent evolution of the Vespa GTS family - the famous “Vespone”. Therefore, the ergonomics are perfectly Vespa, enhanced by its comfort and large body. The seating is natural and allows for total control of the vehicle and absolute comfort even over long distances.
Ergonomic with unique design for the most powerful riding experience, Vespa GTV is powered by the gritty 300 hpe (High Performance Engine) single-cylinder, with 4-valve timing, liquid cooling, and electronic injection. Accredited with power of 17.5 kW (23.8 HP), it is the highest performance engine ever mounted on a Vespa.
Convenience and practicality are highlighted by the introduction of the keyless system, which allows the ignition to be switched on without the need for a traditional key. The adoption of a new LCD instrumentation allows a thorough range of trip information to be displayed (maximum speed, average speed, current consumption, average consumption, range, and battery charge state), as well as all the notification relative to calls, messages and music, if the vehicle is connected to the smartphone using the VESPA MIA (available as a separate accessory).
It comes standard with a USB port, located in the storage compartment in the leg back shield, whereas the spacious under-seat compartment has a mat. On the safety front, it comes standard with ASR electronic traction control and an anti-lock braking system (ABS).
